TGIF

Work week one complete! And I already have a long weekend vacation. Well, they weren't kidding when the job description said "works well without supervision." The two technical supervisors above me were gone at the beginning of the week, and my "buddy", also the guy I think I may be working with some, has been gone for the entire week. So I've just been doing my best to figure out what is going on and learn as much as I can about their existing info (related to my job description) without being the annoying new guy. Toward the end of the week I met a few outgoing people: one lady that worked in MS for a few years and was terribly enthralled by the fact that I was from MS, and a guy from Belgium that has a PhD from Georgia Tech. There is another guy that was recently hired (in April) who seems to be about my age. Quotes of the week (by my supervisor), "we're in trouble," which to me means there is all the more I can do for them. I was asked to fill out a form to have business cards made, one of the blanks was for job title, I questioned my supervisor as to what exactly my job title is/should be, he says... "well, what do you want it to be?"
