The Hotel Life
Well many of you may be wondering what exactly this extended stay hotel consists of that we are supposedly living in for another 3 weeks. So I thought I would try my best to describe my days to you. I wake up at about 9:30 in the mornings. Molly Bear and I go for a walk across a bowling alley parking lot to a sidewalk that goes in front of several apartment complexes where Mexicans are usually working on the landscaping. Once we return we are greeted with the smell of doritos/fritos/cumin as we open the door of our Room 110. I immediately light a match to get rid of the smell because it practically makes me gag everytime I walk in. Then I turn the TV on to see what's going on in LA today. I straighten up the room and put the dishes away from the night before's dinner. Our dishes consist of two plates, two bowls, two mugs, red plastic cups (that we bought so I could drink without being paranoid), two spoons, two forks, two knives, a skillet and a pot. You can imagine that for one who likes to cook, it's not that much to work with, and I am definitely ready for our own dishes back. Then I workout in the room because there isn't a workout room here at the hotel. Then, after showering I usually surf the internet in hopes to find some sort of job that will interest me that I can pursue. I took William to work a couple of days so that I could have a car, but I didn't want to today because we are having some trouble with the clutch and it scares me to drive it until we get it fixed. Therefore, today I don't even get to get out of the hotel to go take or pick William up from work (the usual highlight of my day). Then once William gets home from work we eat dinner and sit around until we go to bed. I am ready for a real place to live and something to do. Sitting around like this makes me miss home a whole lot but I am trying to stay positive for William's sake. Here are some pictures of our hotel room. When I say room, I mean single, one, uno room.
