I got my haircut today by my friend Anna. I really like it and will maybe post a picture soon. It was getting really long and boring so I had her cut it. I kept the length but got some layers added in to give it some life.
Arden is getting so big. He is starting to have more of a personality as well. He is such an easy going baby. I can take him anywhere and not really have to worry about him being fussy. He still doesn't love naps and isn't sleeping through the night, but he is really happy during the day which makes it easier on me. He's content to play by himself on the floor and only fusses when he needs something. We're working on being more consistent with his routine so that we can eliminate at least one of the middle of the night wakings. He goes at least 6 hours between feedings at night, but he still wakes up one other time in between there. It's getting old, but I seem to be adjusting to not getting much sleep. I don't feel as tired as I probably am. I guess you just learn to do what you have to do.
We just joined Netflix and it is awesome. Not only do you get movies in the mail, but there are some movies that you can watch instantly on your computer! If I'm not careful, I could become a complete slacker and just watch movies all the time! Ha, who am I kidding..I've got too much other stuff that's more demanding of my time, but it is fun to be able to do when I get the chance.
I am finally able to wear shoes again since I hurt my toe, so I have finally started a new workout routine. I have been doing Turbo Jam and am starting to feel better. I've still got quite a bit of "baby weight" to lose and am slowly but surely getting that weight loss ball rolling. I want to become a runner and am going to get fitted for real running shoes soon, which I'm pretty excited about! I'll let you know how that goes!
It has been so hot here the past couple of days. I guess I can't really complain since we aren't dealing with lots and lots of rain everyday. It hasn't even sprinkled here! We do however have a few fires in our county that aren't too close to Simi, but we can see them in the distance. That's never good!
Mom is coming in 2 weeks and I can't wait. I can't wait to see what she thinks about how big Arden is now. We're going to have so much fun! This time should definitely be more fun since I can actually get out and do things and don't feel horrible because of just birthing a baby!
But anyway, like I said, nothing too exciting going on right now, but there's an update on our lives!

I know what you mean about the weight loss. I've dropped below my pre-preggo weight but am hoping to keep going lower, even if I do have to start some real exercising.
I still have so much baby weight to lose...but starting next week, I'm going to be serious about it. It seemed like something was always happening that made exercise impossible for me (and that whole breastfeeding thing DID NOT WORK FOR ME!), but I think our life will be fairly regular for at least the next six months, Lord willing.
Your blog is so encouraging for me, Lora, FYI. :)
Love from us Hubbards!
