Then I looked in the rearview mirror and realized that idiot was me. I hope that someone was able to tell that story to someone when they got home from driving around Simi Valley this afternoon because I know if I had seen someone else doing what I was doing, it would definitely be a story to tell. I know I looked like an idiot, but I couldn't help it. My eyes are still really irritated and I had worn my contacts in order to be able to see to take Arden to the doctor this morning, but by the time I had run a few errands and was on my way back home, I could barely keep my eyes open while driving, so I was doing everything that I could to make it as comfortable as possible to open my eyes. Oh well. And yes....all of that was necessary.

Arden went for his 2 month check up today and he did great! He is 23 inches long and weighs 11 lbs 12 oz. He's growing, growing, growing! The doctor said again that he is "absolutely perfect," which is just what a mother wants to hear (because she thinks it even if they don't say it!) He also had to get 4 shots in his legs and one oral shot. He was not a happy camper and it was sad to watch him scream, but as soon as it was over and I was able to get him dressed and hold him, he settled down and was fine. He's taken lots of good naps today and is pretty lethargic, but he's doing fine. Right now he's napping on the couch with daddy. I know I need to post some pics soon and I will, that just hasn't been a top priority as of late, especially since my eyes aren't working well.

Labor day was pretty relaxing for us. We ran some errands around town and then went out for Mexican for dinner and then rented a movie. We were at BabiesRUs picking up a few items and I saw a woman wearing the same shirt that I was wearing (bright orange with a little pocket from Target...easy to spot). Anyway, I thought it would be clever to tell her that I liked her shirt. So I did, but she either didn't hear me or didn't want to hear me and walked right on past with a serious look on her face. Oh well, I tried.

I'm sorry, did you say ORAL shot?? Like a needle in his mouth? Why?? That sounds awful. Makes me think of the evil dentists who dig their needle around in your gums when you get a filling.
No, no, no....Yikes! Don't worry....it was not an oral shot as in needle in the mouth. It was in this little plastic applicator looking thing that they gave him orally. They called it an oral shot, but it did not involve any needles and was more like giving him medication with a dropper.
