In other news.....I am scheduled to have a fissurectomy and a sphinterotomy on October 14th. Yes. That is two surgeries. In my butt. At the same time. And yes. I am freaking completely out! Basically I have to have this because of complications from childbirth. From all the pressure and pushing involved in birthing, I developed fissures which are basically just cuts on my poo hole and because of how the muscles and everything work down there, they haven't been able to heal, so I have to have surgery so that they will heal. It's been a painful 3 months since Arden was born and I am seriously hoping that once I recover from this surgery, that I'll be back to normal, but until then, I'm in pain and I'm freaking out.

What else have we been up to? Let's see. Arden is still not sleeping through the night yet, with a wake up around 2:30 or 3 every night in which he needs to be reswaddled. He goes right back to sleep until about 4:30 or 5 when he's hungry and then back to sleep again until 7:45. It's getting pretty old having to get up just to reswaddle him so we're working on some inventions using a sleep sack and my sewing machine to help him stay swaddled ;). I'll keep you posted on that. He loves riding in his stroller every morning when we walk Molly Bear. I think he would live in his stroller if we let him. He still doesn't like naps, but he doesn't seem to be cranky or in need of more sleep so I assume, even though they're short naps, that he's getting enough sleep. He's a pretty happy baby and will smile at anyone who talks to him. He's started reaching out for his toys when he's lying on the floor and they're hanging above him. He likes to take his keys with him in his carseat as well, so we always make sure he has his keys before we lock the door so he can let us back in if we need. ha. His eyes are still blue and his hair is still brown, so we'll see if it is going to change or not. He likes to kick his feet and watch himself while he does it. He will snuggle with me a little, but is more content to just be left alone if he is tired and wanting to sleep. He still loves taking a bath and always calms down if he's been upset as soon as he hears the water running. He likes me to read to him and even though I know he doesn't understand, I think he likes to hear me talk and to look at the pictures. That's about it for now.

We went for our first hike to watch William fly his airplane the other day and had a great time. I carried Arden in the Bjorn and William walked Molly on her leash. It was a short hike, but it felt good to be outside and to enjoy the pretty weather.
.
We finally made it back to church last week and Arden went to the nursery for the first time. He did great and was quite spoiled since he was the only infant there and got a nursery worker to himself. She said that he slept a little and just chatted with her the rest of the time. It was great to be able to go to church and be able to worship and actually pay attention to the service without having to worry about keeping Arden quiet.

I'll post some pictures in a separate post so this one isn't too long!
