6 Years Ago Today...
William called me his girlfriend for the first time. We had both gone home for the weekend and when we got back he asked me if my parents knew about him. I said yes and that I had told them about going on a date and that we had been hanging out. I asked if his parents knew about me and he responded with saying that he basically said "mom, dad, I have a girlfriend." And the rest was history. From that moment on, I was his girlfriend...no need for a DTR (define the relationship) talk. It was that simple and that's how our relationship has continued to go on. Simple and easy. William has been so easy to love (probably can't say the same about me, but he loves me anyway!), and I am so thankful that we have never questioned how we feel about each other. Yes, we have our disagreements and are selfish, but we've never fought for extended periods of time, we are quick to apologize, and always know when we need to talk to make things right. I can't believe that we have been together for 6 years! I mean we were 19 when we started dating! That's just crazy...that's how old Steve-o is...woah! But it's been a great 6 years. We have grown closer each year and have gone through many changes in the process! Even though we are married and have become parents, I still feel like we are dating each other. It's still exciting when he "asks me out." It's still just as surprising when he brings home flowers for me. It's still fun to cuddle on the couch and watch a movie. It's still sweet to hear when he tells me he loves me. I hope that our marriage continues to feel like we're dating for as long as we're alive!
