A Child of the Covenant

Arden Elijah Lott is officially a child of the covenant. William and I had him baptized this morning at church and it could not have gone any better than it did! We had asked our pastor if we could arrange to do it this soon so that my parents would be able to be here for it and he was happy to oblige. Mom made him a baptism gown for the occasion and I must say that he looked very handsome.
SO.... I had been a bit worried all week as to how the morning would go and like I said, it went great!
I got up this morning and fed him around 8. Then once he was done eating, I gave him a bath (he had to be clean and smell good for his first time to go to church). After his bath he went to sleep and gave me time to get ready for church myself. After I got dressed and had my breakfast I fed Arden one more time hoping that it would hold him over until church was over and we made it back home. We had a little fussing getting into the carseat, but once he calmed down he was zonked out! He slept the entire way to church, slept through a diaper changing and wardrobe change in the car, slept through his entire baptism, and almost slept through the entire church service. He only cried a little bit, and at a very important sermon point making the pastor say that he was just saying his first amen and was glad that it was for an important point. It was pretty funny and William just took him out and got him back to sleep while church finished. After he got back to sleep, he slept the entire ride back to Simi Valley, through the In N Out drive thru, and all the way back home. He woke up right after I changed out of my church clothes and was ready to eat. He was so good through it all and I was so relieved! He definitely got me once we got home though. While he was eating lunch he EXPLODED in his diaper. We're talking out the diaper, up his back, onto my pants, onto the chair, and all the way down to the floor was POOP! Oh man, we were so thankful he saved that and didn't do that in his gown! Anyway, it was a great day and such a special occasion and I was so glad that my parents were able to be here for it!

What if he exploded out of the door, down the stairs, down the sidewalk, into the parking lot, into the car, and all the way to the top of a mountain?

then his poop would have been like the runaway bed that we used to have!
