"Absolutely Perfect"

Those are the words that the doctor used to describe Arden today at his 3 week check-up. He weighed in at 8lbs and 14oz, having gained 1lb and 3oz since his last visit. He's moving on up! He has baby acne on his face that the doc said should go away within the first 2 months. I sure hope so...it doesn't look like it feels very good, but Arden doesn't seem to notice. We've been working on getting him on a schedule and teaching him to go to sleep in his crib without being rocked to sleep. It's working pretty well even though sometimes his crying definitely gets to me. You think you've done it, he's fallen asleep, and then 5 minutes later, he's crying again. It's a work in progress, but then again it's only been 2 days and he seems to be getting better already! Anyway, that's the update on the baby front. As far as the mommy and daddy front, well, I got dressed today, jeans and all, which was quite the accomplishment for me. William is getting really good at calming Arden down and has made a science out of diaper changing. He's such a great dad and I'm so glad to have him home with me these couple of weeks!
