The Weekend

This weekend was somewhat eventful compared to our usual lying around the house routine. Friday night we got sushi and stayed in and watched Jim Carey's Yes Man. It was pretty good and made for a relaxing evening (much needed on William's part - he's been super busy at work). Saturday we got up and went to the Simi Valley Street Fair. It was an art's festival/ street vendor thing that was set up on one of the main streets here in Simi. We just enjoyed walking around and looking at all the different booths. We also enjoyed some Italian ice (I was really wanting a good snocone but wasn't too disappointed in what I got) and a funnel cake (William's choice). The weather was pleasant, but we were ready to go after walking through all the tents. Saturday evening we went to the dog park for awhile and then just had dinner at home. Sunday was Mother's Day (duh!), my first unofficial Mother's Day! I didn't really expect to celebrate as a mother, but my parents sent me flowers (beautiful, multicolored tulips!) and some chocolate truffles and William wrote me a sweet card. I kind of felt like I was cheating, but then again, I am experiencing the pains of pregnancy so I guess it was ok to be celebrated! Sunday afternoon we drove down to Malibu and spent several hours just lounging and reading on the beach. It got pretty chilly as the sun was going down so we left as it was starting to set. We had our friends, Zack and Audrey over for vegetarian tacos and to hang out that night. We had a good time visiting with them and the dinner was yummy! I am getting more and more uncomfortable as the babe is getting bigger and harder (ok so his bones are supposedly hardening). He's supposed to be gaining about a 1/2 pound a week, so I am definitely noticing his size changes! I am definitely ready to have my body back to normal and to be able to workout regularly and lose some of this poundage! I had a dream this morning that I got up and went for a run, only to wake up to the disappointment of my enormous belly and the inability to run. Sad day! Anyway, that's about it for us!
