The Dreaded Question...

"What's for dinner?"
I'm not even a mom yet, but that question is like nails on chalkboard to me. I hate being asked this unless I've already planned well in advance what we're going to have. William has tried to get me to plan ahead making a meal plan of sorts, but this is quite time consuming and annoying because it takes so many stinking ingredients for one weeks worth of meals that it ends up costing so much every time I go to the store. Because of this, I have recently just ended up with random things that I hope will make up meals but  usually ends up failing to do so. Well, I have found a solution to my problem! Drum roll please.....it's called E-Mealz. It is an online thing you can sign up for for only $1.25 a week that will send you a list of meals for 5 nights out of the week and a grocery list of all the items that you will need for each of those meals. Dave Ramsey actually recommends this plan because it is supposed to help you save money by planning ahead. If you live in places other than CA, you can also pick a grocery store and it will plan meals according to that store's sales for the week. It's quite a handy tool! I've made two meals from the plan so far, and while they weren't necessarily a steak and baked potato kind of meal, they weren't too bad and it was so nice to not have to even think about what we would have for dinner....the answer is right on my refrigerator and I know I've got all the ingredients for each meal! SO..if you dread the question, "what's for dinner?" and are not very good at planning out meals in advance like I am, then you should check out www.e-mealz.com.

You could also use supercook.com. You enter what ingredients you have in the house, and it finds recipes online based on what's in the cabinet. If I ever cooked, I'd use it, but it's no fun cooking for one. Unless it's a steak.
