Saturday we slept in late and then had homemade strawberry muffins for brunch. William changed the oil in my car and then we went to Home Depot to get the stuff we needed to refinish our crib (and by crib, I mean an actual baby crib...not our "crib" as in home ha!) We picked out a stain with some help from dad over the phone and headed back home to start sanding. We didn't get much done because it was getting late and we were getting tired and hungry, so we ended up just doing a trial section to make sure we liked the color. Well good thing we did, because the stain we got ended up having too much of a purple tint to it rather than a more reddish tint which is what we are going for. So, we'll have to take it back and pick out a new one. All of that to say, we didn't get too much done on the crib, but we're hoping to have it done by the time Emily Gray and mom come to visit in a couple of weeks. Saturday night we went out to dinner. We drove around trying to find a new place to try and ended up at a diner that I don't remember the actual name of, but on the outside it said "Burgers, Etc." so we'll just call it that. William and I both got burgers (I'd been craving a cheeseburger since lunch) and they were quite yummy. William's was so tall that I would not have been able to open my mouth wide enough to eat it. Mine was big too, but manageable. Since we hadn't had a real lunch, we both ate almost our entire burger! We were definitely stuffed, but it was worth it. After dinner we picked up William's coworker, Jared, to go to a flying event at this gym in town. People meet about once a month to fly their little helicopters and stuff indoors. William has been a couple of times before and I'd even been one other time. We just went to watch for a little while this time. Afterwards we went to our new favorite dessert place, The Golden Spoon, for some frozen yogurt.

Sunday we went to church as usual and then we went out with some friends to lunch at a place called Waffles and More. We both got pancakes, which mine were good, but William said his weren't the best (he got pumpkin pancakes and they had too much nutmeg in them). We enjoyed hanging out for a while after we were done eating and then a few of us went over to the house in the Hollywood hills, where we had gone for New Year's Eve, since our friends Zach and Audrey were housesitting again. We just hung out for a little while over there and then headed home for a relaxing evening of dinner and a movie. All in all it was a good weekend!
PS I just noticed this post revolves a lot around what we ate this weekend. Apparently food is quite important to me these days! Oh well, we did do more than just eat this weekend, but whatever.
