My mind is shot

Today has been one of those days. We had one of William's coworkers over for lunch because he is going to be helping take care of Molly while we're gone for the weekend. We're going to a young adult's retreat with our church. Anyway, I was straigtening up the house, trying to get ready for them to come home for lunch and thing number 1 happened. We have been working on rearranging our guest room since we got a crib and it will now be the guest room/ nursery. I was rearranging a little shelf that holds six espresso mugs and saucers that we got as a wedding present. I moved the shelf out of the way to put something else in it's place, however when I moved the shelf, it wasn't standing up properly and came crashing down with all of the mugs and saucers flying out. I thought I had broken all of them, but I only broke 3 of the saucers. Thing number 1. Next, I was headed out to do our laundry and was reaching for the detergent (we use liquid detergent, mind you) that sits on the top shelf of a closet. Well, next thing I know, a new bottle of detergent fell off the shelf, busted its cap, and was pouring all over the carpeted closet floor. There goes that 28% more that we got for free! I spent the next hour cleaning up sudsy detergent from our carpet. Thing number 2. So, anyway, my brain is not working quite as well as usual and I'm definitely paying the consequences. Other than that, it's been a good day. The nursery is coming along nicely, and we had a good lunch with John (the coworker), and I am finally getting the laundry done.
