Viva William's Place of Employment

Saturday night William and I attended the New Year's party that his company put on for its employees. Being the wife of an employee I was also invited. It was at the Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills overlooking the San Fernando Valley (you can google it to see pics if you want..it was a pretty cool place.) We got dressed up for the evening and really enjoyed ourselves. When we got there, they had a photo booth set up in front of a Fabulous Las Vegas background, so of course we had our picture made. Of course we didn't take a normal picture but we had a cheesy, crazy pose for the camera guy. I hope that William will be able to get us a copy of the pic..if so, I'll post it later. We then went into the big dining room that was all decked out in Las Vegas style with white lights strung on the ceiling and flowers and stuff everywhere. Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra were there working the crowd. We had appetizers and found a table with some people that William works with directly. The company is so big that I heard numerous people say "I don't even see anybody that I recognize." Thankfully William did recognize a few people so we had some to sit with for dinner. When it was time for dinner, the DJ had us play a "name that tune" game to be dismissed table by table to get into the buffet line. Our table was not the greatest at the game (even though I knew most of the songs), so it took us a while to finally be able to  get our food. The food was really good with lots of varieties of salads, meats and veggies, and of course, desserts! We enjoyed our meals and William enjoyed our free drink passes (each person got 2 when we got there but William got 4 since I obviously wasn't drinking). I did however enjoy pineapple juice with sprite just so that I didn't feel left out. After dinner we danced a little with a few people about our age that William works with. William's dance moves are always entertaining and this night was no exception! After dancing for a little while we sat back down and hung out with the same people we danced with until the party ended around 11:30. It was fun to have a night out on the company's money!
