We got all moved in and settled into our new home and are loving it! Don't get me wrong, we still miss 21o C Louisville Street, but we are getting accustomed to apartment living. Molly Bear has chosen her select spots to nap and I have unpacked every single box, arranged and rearranged furniture and decorated the place to make it feel like home. On moving day, we had 10 people, yes 10!, from our church come and help us out. It was amazing! We were done unloading the relocubes in about an hour and a half! Most of our furniture was scratched so after getting it into place, I spent about a week repainting it and fixing up the fabric on the couch and chairs. Now that it is all done, we are really liking it and all of our furniture fits in perfectly, and I managed to organize all of our other junk into the millions of closets that we have, that have mirrors for doors not to mention! So anyway, enough about the apartment, we'll post pictures later once I can take some and we have internet at home.
We have officially had a night out on the town in HOLLYWOOD! One of our friends, Audrey, had a birthday party at the Velvet Margarita in Hollywood, so we went of course! It was so much fun and we got to see most of our friends and hang out at the bar and drink an amazing drink that was served in a fresh pineapple! (fam- we figured that they HAD to have used the spiral pineapple cutter to hollow out the pineapple!) After the bar, we went to Cafe 101 which is featured in the movie, Swingers, which we haven't seen but we've been to the cafe that is in it!
We have started going to a couples bible study with Dan and Patty Kaiser, the college/career leader and his wife, and our two couples friends, Dave and Kathy McGuire and Zack and Audrey Zoschke. It has been a lot of fun and is helpful in strengthening our marriage. It is good to just talk about and discuss all that goes into leaving and cleaving and weaving our lives together.
William has gotten busier at work and is enjoying his new position a lot more now. Someone told him that basically what he says goes as far as what he's doing which he enjoys. He has started working longer hours than he did in Starkville, but it's not bad.
We're going to the LA Mississippi Picnic after church tomorrow which should be lots of fun. We'll let you know how that goes!
Anyway, that's about it for now as far as the Lotts go. Once we have internet you'll get more detailed updates, but for now this will have to do! We miss everybody and can't wait for people to start coming to visit us!
