Today while I was trying to fix lunch, keep the baby happy, and entertain Arden all at the same time, Arden was getting frustrated that his garage made out of blocks kept falling over, and after telling him numerous times that he just needed to play with something else until I could help him, he told me that he didn't want to be in our house anymore. "I don't want to be in our house anymore, I don't like our house, I want to go to Mrs. Ginger's house and play with her toys." (We had a play date at Mrs. Ginger's this week where he got to play in the mud and mow the grass, which of course was way more fun than being stuck indoors with me all day, but what can you do, right?!) Anyway, I can't say that it didn't stab me in the heart just a little bit that he didn't want to be in our house anymore!! However, sorry, Arden, I'm not letting you go yet, that time will come all too quickly when you will leave our house, but for now, I'm holding on tight!

In other news, the baby shower was a huge success and I'll post pics of that soon. It was a lot of fun and we were quite pleased with all of our decoration efforts, and I think all the guests, including Beth, were amazed! However, because of all the work and little sleep, I'm still sick. I rested a lot today and the boys and I missed church because they are still sick too, but I think that helped us all and I know I am feeling better already. It's amazing what resting can do for your body! Ha. While we were home today, Arden got his recorder out and used it as his train whistle while pushing his wooden train all around the house. It was a little loud and obnoxious, but I couldn't help but be proud of his creativity in putting the two together - trains need whistles right? It was cute. Porter is almost sitting up and wants to be in an upright position all the time so that he doesn't miss anything that is going on around here. He's rolling all over the place, including in his bed, which I was clearly not aware of early this morning when I stumbled into his room to feed him and picked him up upside down without even realizing it until I noticed that there was definitely not a head in between his "arms" aka his legs...it was hilarious...oops! Sorry baby, I promise to check where your head is before I pick you up anymore! That's all.
