"Porter's Awake Now!"

Well no wonder!....That's what happens when his brother climbs into his crib in the morning and pushes the button on his obnoxiously loud singing bear and starts dancing to the music right by his head! That's what we all woke up to a couple of days ago. It was hilarious, yet disturbing at the same time. Arden, son, we do not climb into Porter's crib while he's in there, much less while he and everyone else is asleep!
Here's what I usually get to see though, when everybody wakes up from a nap:

We've all had a bit of a runny nose around here this week, but I think we're getting better. I've been super busy making things for a baby shower I'm helping with on Saturday and have stayed up entirely too late on several nights, and think I was feeling sick from pure exhaustion. Monday night several girls came over to help make the puff balls and I think we ended up with about 80 of them! I've also made a diaper cake and a mobile ring for the guest of honor - Beth, our Assistant Pastor's wife and the mom-to-be. It's going to be a super cute shower.

Today we went to Stay at Home Moms Unite at the Zagnoli's house. In January we started getting together with all the stay at home moms from church and started calling it SAHMU and it's stuck. We've been getting together once a month since then and it is always fun to hang out with everybody and let the kids play with each other. This time, we got to play outside in the mud and grass and it was a lot of fun! There was even a mower there, so Arden was entertained the whole time! We had a picnic lunch outside and all the moms chipped in to make a delicious Asian salad. Yum!

Picnic with our best bud, Owen

Arden and I have been doing "school" on most days. I found a few workbooks at the dollar store and right now we are learning the days of the week and nailing down our colors and shapes. It's a fun time that we get to spend together, and he enjoys doing the activities in the Care Bears workbook. I try to do a craft that involves a Bible verse once a week as well. He's getting better at memorizing things, but not quite into singing many songs yet. However, at any given time during the day, when he is playing or when he gets excited or when he's going potty or pretty much doing anything else, you will most likely hear him singing "Jesus loves me so!" I'd say that's a good motto to live by, so keep on singing, Bud!
.
Porter is such a sweet boy and is the easiest baby ever. I think I've said it before, but I can't say it enough just how easy going he is. He sleeps when he is tired and is happy and alert when he's awake. He did have one rough night with his nose being stopped up, but he's back to himself now. He LOVES Arden and always watches him and laughs at him, even if Arden is trying to squish him or flipping him all around the floor. He doesn't know that he should probably be upset about it, he just laughs and loves the attention from big brother. He sat up for a few seconds by himself yesterday and seems to try to sit up on his own as much as he can. It won't be long before he'll be riding in a shopping cart and making my life much easier while shopping! I can't wait for the boys to be able to play together and entertain each other. Moms are so boring sometimes and I'm ready for Arden to have a playmate!

This is how we play together these days.

 Already so much love!

So exciting!

This was Porter's first cereal experience...getting excited...

Eww, never mind, I don't like it yet!

The weather has been awesome this week and we've enjoyed lots of bike riding and a day at the park. The only big bike that we have is our tandem bike, so Porter and I ride that while Arden rides his "big motorkycle." It was fun riding around the neighborhood together and Arden did a great job of keeping up and staying close!

One day we set up some "ramps" (aka Daddy's oil changing car ramps) right outside our house

 Porter's outdoor activity

Please note the reindeer shirt. Yes I know it is March. Does Arden care? Not at all! This is his favorite outfit by far and he would wear it everyday if it didn't need to be washed so much! Thanks Emmy!

Porter Boy's first bike ride!

William has been busy at work starting on his new project and with the exception of a few frustrating people, he's really enjoying his job these days. We, of course, always enjoy when Daddy is home and are sad to watch him leave in the mornings, but ready to see him everyday when he gets back home.
Anyway, that's what we've been up to this week! I can't wait to post pics of them in their matching Easter suits! I finished the smocking and shipped it to Mom and she is working (I hope!) on the suits now! We're pretty excited!
