Wemadeababyitsacoming

Well that's right, the Lotts are having a baby! We found out on October 20th that we would be adding a new addition to our family. I was a day late and decided I would go to Walmart to get a pregnancy test just to see what the results were. I came home, peed on the stick and two pink lines popped up. I almost passed out from the shock of the test being positive! We knew it was always a possibility because we hadn't really been trying not to get pregnant, but it sure happened fast! William came home from work and I was crying and he thought someone had died! As soon as I could get out that I was pregnant, he was like, "oh honey, that's good news! I thought someone had died or something! This is great news!" I wasn't upset that I was pregnant, I was just so freaked out at the thought of having a baby that I couldn't control the crying! However, after getting control of myself and talking about it with William, we are really excited and I've got nine months to get used to the idea of actually giving birth!
Everyone's reactions have been great! I think we shocked my parents the most, which was definitely fun! Dad said that we made his hair turn gray (uh sorry, dad, it was already gray!) Mom's face was great..because of being on Skype, it was somewhat confusing and I think it took a minute for what we were actually saying to sink in. Emily (my younger sister) was in the library and we were on Skype. We could see each other through the video, but were type chatting so she could be quiet in the library. Ever since we got married, every time I talk to Emily she's asked if I was pregnant yet. Of course she always got a no to this question, so this time was priceless. I typed "hey do you want to see something?" and she said "what is it? a baby bump?" and I responded with "you guessed it!" Her face fell to the floor and she silently began mouthing things like "oh my gosh! are you serious!?, etc." It was so funny because it was all in silence. Priceless. Anna was her usual, unemotional self, but was excited about the news. I called Steven and asked if he wanted to be an uncle and said that I was going to have a baby and he responded with "no you're not" and I said "oh yes I am!" and he was excited.
All of our friends have had pretty much the same reaction of being totally excited and happy for us. So anyway, that's it for now, baby Lott will come sometime around June 26th. I'm hoping it's a girl, but we'll find that out in a few weeks, probably around Christmas time. I'm 7 weeks right now and have been feeling alright. Last week was really bad, I was sick all day everyday, but this week has been much more manageable and I'm feeling better. Anyway, we'll keep you updated on all the baby news whenever we know anything new!
