6 Facts About a Weirdo

I knew this was coming from someone, I just didn't know when I'd be targeted. I was tagged by Carey to name 6 interesting facts about myself that others might find strange or simply just don't know about me, so here goes...

1. I am always counting in my head. When I walk, I count my steps (unless I'm thinking about something else), when I hold William's hand or have my hand around him in some way, I move my fingers one at a time and repeatedly count to five or to eight. I don't know why I do this and didn't realize that I did it until William pointed out that I would move my fingers repeatedly and asked why I did this. I was counting. So what can I say..I'm a counter.

2. I can't stand to be by myself for long periods of time. In college, whenever I would have to stay in Starkville to work during spring break or any other break, I would totally freak out because I knew that I would have to be by myself for several days. I get really depressed and feel as if I can't function properly if I don't know that I will have regular human interaction. Talking on the phone doesn't count either, I have to see people in person or I'm a complete weirdo.

3. There is very, very little that I enjoy more than dipping a piece of crispy, crusty bread into hot soup and eating it. I could eat soup and sourdough or french bread every single day and be completely happy. Also, on the same subject as food, I become really obsessed with a single food and can eat it everyday and not get sick of it. The foods change over time, but there is usually one food that I am always happy eating. Some examples have been ice cream, apples, guacamole, etc.

4. I always have and always will think that the sound of farting is the funniest noise in the world. Real or fake, the noise will always make me laugh. I have been known to crack myself up making fart noises on my arm...started laughing so hard I was crying at one point. I know it's immature and I'm going to have to suck it up when we have kids, but I think I will always laugh. The quote in Baby Mama, "I'm sorry I farted into your purse" was possibly the funniest thing I had heard in a really long time.

5. I cannot stand to kiss William or anyone for that matter in the mornings. I hate getting out of bed anyways, and the thought of kissing someone with my morning mouth totally grosses me out. I'm also not a big cuddler in the mornings. I am just not a morning person in general and don't want to be touched or bothered until I'm good and awake.

6. I am obsessed with brightly colored things. Candy stores with walls of multicolored candies are probably my most favorite thing to just stare at. I love anything that is neat and orderly and multicolored, especially if it is in the order of the rainbow colors. Walls of candy, neatly arranged school supplies, walls of pillows or towels at Bed, Bath and Beyond, you name it, I could just stare at them forever. My closet is arranged in rainbow order because of this.

So that's it. I'm sure there is a lot more stuff that I could mention that makes me totally weird, but there's 6 for now. Well, how about a few bonuses:

7. I love singing patriotic songs at the top of my lungs from my parents front porch in Memphis, and no we don't live far from our neighbors. Also, in high school I hung my ECS Swimming Lora Duggan banner from the middle window on the second floor in the front of our house, as if it was a national flag or something. It was priceless. Just wanted everyone to know that I was a swimmer (because it definitely was not obvious from my physique).

8. The noise of a York peppermint patty breaking in half is the most glorious noise on earth. Hold it up to your ear and break it in half. Amazing. Also, the sound of tires driving over gravel is one of life's little pleasures that all should make a point to enjoy.

Ok that's really all for now! I guess I should tag someone to do this so how about, if you read this and want to, you should do the same on your blog! Anna, Whit, Laura, Amelia...yall should go for it!
