They're at it again

The wildfires that is. We aren't directly affected by the fires but there are several in the LA area and in Santa Barbara. It's pretty scary to watch footage of them, knowing that they are not that far from where we are. We can see smoke, but no fire.  We're ok for now though, we'll let you know if they get closer to us.
We have had a pretty uneventful week this week. Thursday night we had a girl's night at Courtney's house. Audrey, Kathy, Susan, Amanda, Courtney and I all met and hung out at Courtney and Dallas' apartment. They live in Canoga Park, about 20 minutes from us. We ate some yummy soup that Courtney made and then we made a pecan pie. Courtney had brought her pecan pie to the fall family festival awhile back and we all wanted to learn how to make it, so we did and it was yummy! William, Dallas, Zach, and Dave all went out to a mexican dinner and then to a couple of bars while we were hanging out. It was a fun night and I'm sure we'll do it again soon! I was very thankful that I was feeling well enough to go.
On a completely other note, I have really been craving Chikfila lately. I always love Chikfila and hadn't had it in several months.  I was making plans to go there as soon as I got into Memphis for Christmas because I had been told and did a little research and found no Chikfilas in California. Well, I was telling my good friend, Emily Gray, about the lack of Chikfilas here and how much I wished we had one. She said that California does have them and that she'd been to one that was only about an hour from Simi. Hmmm...interesting.....so I go back to the Chikfila website (where I'd already searched for them around Simi) and decided to search again. Well I found one only 30 minutes from us in Oxnard! I was so excited that I texted William and informed him that we would be going there for dinner! I know it's pretty pathetic to drive 30 minutes for Chikfila, but after we'd eaten our chicken sandwiches, I told William that it was 100% worth our time and travel! So I got my Chikfila and should be able to last until Christmas to have it again!
I've been feeling much, much better since Tuesday and haven't thrown up since then. I still feel queasy in the mornings, but I'm learning to somewhat manage. I am so ready to feel normal when I wake up and not feel like I have to hurry and eat something before I throw up (I know, makes no sense, but that's how it goes). I also want to be able to workout again. I am determined not to gain any more weight than I need to for this pregnancy, so hopefully it won't take forever to get back off after the birth, but I need to be able to workout for this to be the case and as of late I have felt like doing anything but working out. Soon, though, I'm hopeful. That's about it for now, later!

I actually had Kellen get my breakfast and bring it to bed where I ate it. It's the only way I felt normal. Try yogurt. It's the only think that worked for me.
