Short and Sweet

Well not much is going on in the Land of the Lotts right now, but here is an update anyway. William tried fixing the clutch cable, which in fact was broken, but that did not solve the problems with my car. We ended up taking it to a mechanic, who was recommended by one of our friends (did you catch that? friends! yeah that's right, we have some), on Saturday afternoon. Turns out, the cable wasn't the only problem, but in fact the entire clutch needed to be replaced. The mechanic is a really nice man who knows what he is doing and did not overcharge us by any means! We tried to pick my car up today because William talked to the guy, Berj, who said it would be ready, but when we went to get it, Berj was not quite happy with the way the clutch felt, so he decided to keep it one more day to make sure it was working perfectly. All that to say, I should have a car tomorrow! Yippee!!
We are continuing to meet more people at church. We went to the college and career Bible study again last night. As we were walking up to the house, I said "man, I wish there were more girls in this group." The only girls who I had met so far were the ones that we went out to dinner with last weekend. Well what do you know...more girls showed up to the group! I got really brave and went up and basically said I wanted to meet them because I was just glad to see girls! God knows what we need, when we need it! After the Bible study was over, I chatted with the girls some more - by the way they are Susan and Amanda - and it was so good to meet more people, especially girls!
We went by the apartment complex tonight to find our assigned parking spaces and to talk to the security guy about the safety of the complex. Our parking spots are very convenient as far as location from our building, which is a plus! The security guard was really encouraging about the lack of crime in the area. This was a plus because we have been a little skeptical of the place. We are definitely ready to move in and see for ourselves, but tonight was definitely encouraging.
That is about it for us for now. Only 12 more nights in the hotel and we'll be outta here! Can't wait!

You forgot to say the part about how the clutch cable breaking wasn't my fault after all...3 years later, I'm finally vindicated! Hooray for fixed cars, new girls, and convenient parking spots!!
