I Turned the Heat on in the Car
William and I went hiking with a group from his work this afternoon after he got off of work. We hiked an easier trail than we had hiked on our own, so it was a fun, pleasant hike. We started out at about 6:30pm and got done about 7:30pm. The temperature outside was amazing! Once the sun had gone all the way down, it was actually quite chilly. I was wearing a sleeveless shirt and once we got in the car and had stopped moving, I was freezing! I turned the heat on in the car! It was awesome because it felt so good outside! I bet people in Mississippi didn't use the heat in their cars tonight! Anyway, after the hike a lady and a couple invited us to go to dinner with them (a usual for the group who usually goes hiking together). We went to a Mediterranean restaurant and just enjoyed hanging out with the people that William works with. The lady's name was Lisa, the husband of the couple's name was Greg, and we actually never really got the wife's name! (oops!) They were really nice and fun just to talk to. At the end of the meal, the check came and we started sorting out who owed what. You must know, apparently it is odd to split a check up by what people ordered here, usually they will just divide it by however many people give credit cards or whatever. Well we had only ordered sandwiches and hummus which were quite a bit cheaper than the other meals. We tried to explain to the guy how to divide the check so that we wouldn't have to pay more than we should and after some discussion and confusion, the couple just offered to pay for our meal. That was unexpected and quite nice of them, especially since we had just met them! (however, it is still annoying that they can't just split the check the way they should!) All in all it was a fun night and the weather was awesome!
