Home Again, Home Again Jiggity Jog

Well I have been to Memphis and am back home in California. My trip was really good and I enjoyed being in Memphis for the last time without any kids! The plane rides were NOT fun and my feet swelled for the first time because of them, but I made it there safely and enjoyed my time seeing my family and friends. My friends Emily Gray, Laura Fearnow, and Lindsey Hughes threw me a baby shower on the Saturday before Easter. It was a lot of fun and I got to see a lot of people who I hadn't seen in awhile. We got lots of cute gifts and several gift cards to Target and BabiesRUs. We only have a few more things to get to be ready for the baby and I'm pretty sure the gift cards will cover it all! What a blessing to have so many friends helping take care of our baby! Mom took me to get some more smocking materials so that I can make a few more day gowns for the babe. I finished my first one and am pretty pleased with how it turned out (even if the hem was done on the sewing machine....who knew it was supposed to be done by hand...blah!) Overall the week was really laid back and I spent much of it hanging around my parents house and had people in and out visiting. Maddie Pup was sad to see me go as she tried to keep me from leaving by hiding under the car! It was weird to leave knowing that the next time I'm in Memphis, I'll be a mom and my life will be completely different! But, it is exciting none the less!
.
Things with the pregnancy are going well as far as I can tell. I am getting bigger and I can feel that baby boy is getting bigger too since I can feel him at my ribs and hips at the same time when he moves. It's starting to get hot here and I can already tell that it is not going to be pleasant being hot and pregnant. Therefore, I will be spending most of my time indoors staying away from the heat. I go back to the doctor on Wednesday and will then start going more frequently since it is starting to get close to my due date. While I am not really looking forward to the birth and delivery, I am getting more excited about him being here and am ready to face my fear and get it over with.
