So I have to force myself to do a blog post about once a week. I don't know why it is such a chore to upload pics of our family and tell you all what's been going on, but it is so hard for me to make myself blog. All of that to say, here is your overdue Mother's Day post and post for the week!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAAAAAAAAYYYYUUUHH!! (sing it and it makes more sense)
We had a pretty laid back, but enjoyable weekend. William came home Friday with a bouquet of flowers for me and declared it Mother's Weekend. I made sure to take advantage of that at certain points throughout the weekend - like when Arden made a big mess at lunch - "It's mother's weekend, I don't have to clean it up!" Friday night we went out to dinner and went to Dr. Conkey's Candy and Coffee Shop for dessert. It wasn't quite as exciting as William had hoped (I would have been fine with the Golden Spoon, but went along with trying something new) but it was still good and we got a few truffles and one huge peanut butter cup. We watched a movie that night after we got home. Saturday morning I got up with Arden so that I could get my 4 mile run in before it got too hot. We tried to plan something to do all day long, but when it got around to it, we ended up just going to the dog park for a little while just to get out of the house. We were just being lazy, but it was nice. Sunday we went to church and William did my nursery duty for me (I was like, is this some sort of sick joke, putting me in the nursery on Mother's Day?!). After church, and after William helped in fixing a guy's wheelchair, we headed over to the Kaiser's to meet up with them and the Ashtons. We headed to Eagle Rock for a picnic lunch and a hike. We had Subway for lunch per my request and then William carried Arden in the backpack the whole hike so that I wouldn't have to strain any on Mother's Day! ha! Anyway, it was an enjoyable day, however, next year I think all I want for Mother's Day is a nap! Here are some pics from the weekend.

Yummy strawberries for the picnic lunch!

The Kaisers - Katie, Patti, Josh, and Dan

The Ashtons - Zach, Anna, and Owen

Fixed a guy's wheelchair?!

yeah we have a couple that are both in those motorized wheelchairs and the guy's wheel was like coming off or something so they had to put a new screw or something in it...dont really know the details
