Sup?

Wow, I know it's been way too long since I posted, but it just takes forever to sit down and write something and then add all the pictures and stuff that I've been wanting to put up, but, dear readers, you've waited long enough, so here goes nothing. We are just going along as usual, growing every day (Baby is getting bigger and mommy is trying to get smaller). We are gearing up for our trip to Memphis and then Starkville this coming week and can't wait to get there to see everybody! I am a little nervous about flying by myself, but then again, who wouldn't be with a babe in tow?! Oh well, I'm not the first to do it and I am certainly not the last...we'll make it. We've had a lot of new things enter our lives recently, and while one might think we have currently started rollin' in the dough, you would be wrong. We sold William's truck (like I mentioned before) and finally got our new car a few weeks ago and are loving it! It's a 2001 Ford Focus wagon with only 69,000 miles on it! Here's a picture of the beauty:
We also got some new furniture. We had been wanting a new couch for awhile and decided that we would get one with part of our tax refund. We found a great deal on both a couch and a loveseat at Urban Home (like a cheaper version of Pottery Barn), and since getting both was within our budget of what we had set to get just a couch, we went with it and got both pieces. At first we weren't too sure if we liked them because it was a change going from black to brown, but once we got some throw pillows and accesorized a bit, we have decided we love them. Here are a couple of pics of our new living room:
The red sticks in the vase are new too.

Also, as I am sure all of you have heard by now (or gathered from a previous post), we have become vegetarians. We stopped eating meat a couple of months ago, but I realized that I never posted about it. So, you heard it from me, the rumors are true, we are vegetarians now. We got rid of the chemical shit storm that was our previous diet and are eating all natural, organic (as much as possible), healthy food. It hasn't been that difficult cutting out meat (the worst part is being in awkward social situations where people don't know you don't eat meat) and we have enjoyed (for the most part) coming up with new ways to eat vegetables and figure out new meals that we can enjoy. I read the book, Skinny Bitch, and another one called Eat to Live, and we also watched a couple of documentaries and were convinced that the meat in America is gross. Also, not that we're some crazy animal rights activists, but I do think that there is a difference in having dominion over God's creations and modern day slaughterhouses. Anyway, I won't go on, but that's what we're doing now! In somewhat related news, the strawberry man is back!! We've been enjoying delicious, picked-that- day strawberries from the man who sells them on the back of his truck every day! Yum!

These berries are no joke, people.

Arden is getting bigger and bigger. He isn't crawling yet, but he is trying to get around and goes from sitting to his tummy quite easily now, so I'm afraid it won't be long! I am excited for him to be able to move himself around, but I'm not thrilled about having to keep an eye on him every moment that he is awake. He's got a couple more teeth trying to peek through his gums on the top, but for now he's still just got his bottom two teeth and we think he's cute with just those (William said last night he didn't want him to get any more teeth because those 2 were so cute already). He's at a fun age right now and is really friendly and sweet to be around. He is a really happy, easy going, talkative baby. He's got his second cold right now, so he's been a little droopy the past week, but he seems to be getting better and we hope to be all well in time for our trip. I'm enjoying being a mom even though I don't really feel like a mom. I hung out with a mom from church yesterday, and I still felt like I was a teenage babysitter going over to play with her kids and like I had no idea what it was really like to have kids, but then I thought, uh I do have a kid, but this is still weird. Anyway, it's hard to explain, but I don't feel like a mom (or at least how I perceive how a mom feels) and I still have no idea how to handle other people's kids (especially toddlers - oh, man, I'm so socially awkward with them). Anyway, enough babbling! Here are some pics of the babe! Stay tuned for a couple of videos as well!

Last but not least, me. I have been thoroughly enjoying our new jogging stroller and am finally shedding some of this baby weight that I still need to lose. (Ha...we'll call it baby weight because we can - never mind that I had gained weight before I was even pregnant..oh well.) I'm still doing my ChaLEAN extreme videos as well and finally feeling like I'm getting back into shape, somewhat. William and I went hiking on Sunday. He was able to fly his glider a little bit before continuing on the trail with me and Arden and Molly Bear. It was a really long hike, but it was fun and good to be outside. We still do our weekly Friday night of sushi, Golden Spoon fro-yo (frozen yogurt for all of you non hip and with it people out there), and watching a movie. Also, we've started rotating Saturdays as far as who gets to sleep in. It's always something to look forward to when it's your week - sleeping in as late as you want with no interruptions from le bebe. We have been having soup for lunch every Sunday in hopes of having people join us, however, we're 0 for 4 in actually getting people to come over...who knew it would be so hard to get people to come over for a free lunch after church?! Oh well, we're still trying! That's about it for now! I'll post those videos soon and hope to do a little photo shoot this weekend if we get the chance, so I'll post those too! Like I tell William when he leaves for work "Be sweet, stay cute, and rock on."

When are you going to be in Starkville? We would love for the boys to play. We are going to be gone Wednesday-Sunday so I guess that pretty well limits our possible hang out time. Miss y'all!
