Arden now weighs 14lbs 14oz and is 24in long. He got more shots at his appointment and did perfectly. He just screamed a little while they were being given and then was fine as soon as I picked him up. He's started noticing strangers a bit more and has just lost it at the sight of a couple...I guess it's just a phase, but it's fun knowing that he knows who I am now and that he likes me the best! He's started sleeping at least 7 hours at night between feedings and takes GREAT naps during the day! Everyday this week, I've had to go in and wake him from his naps rather than him waking himself and not sleeping very long. We're now on a 4 hour schedule, so he eats every 4 hours and is awake longer and takes longer naps. It's great for me because I know that I get 2 hours at a time to do whatever I want while he's napping. Whatever I want usually involves cleaning or working out, but hey, it's baby-free time! He's started trying to sit up on his own, but I think we're still a couple of months away from him actually doing it. He still doesn't roll over regularly, but the doc said that there was nothing to worry about with that. He's really strong and loves "standing" in your lap. He is such a sweet and laid back baby and has really been such a joy to have around. I can't wait to have him around my family for the holidays and to have them love on him and share in the joy that we experience daily!

Food Glorious Food
Well it's official....Arden has had his first solid food....rice cereal! We went to the doctor a couple weeks ago and were told that we could start solids whenever we were ready, so we jumped right in. I got a little over zealous at first feeding him 3 times in one day (with doctor's permission of course) and Arden liked it...for a couple of days. However, a couple of days into it, and he refused to eat it and would scream whenever I tried to feed him, so I decided to wait a few days and try again later...more slowly the next time. I tried again and he likes it again, so we're just going with once a day for now and will build up gradually to more. William got video of him eating, but the sound doesn't work, so you can just watch it without sound, and he videoed sideways so it's all messed up, but enjoy anyway...ha!
