The Nursery...

....is finally done!! Our "roomate" moved out on Monday and I have been washing sheets and baby stuff and doing all of the final things in the nursery the past couple of days. I was so glad to finally be able to get in there and clean and set everything up like I wanted. His clothes are all sorted, his bed is made, diapers are ready to be used, and Molly Bear finally has "her" room back! (Little does she know she will soon be sharing it with her "brother") It hasn't been the easiest thing in the world, creating a nursery and guest room combo, but I think we've managed quite well. Hey, who really cares that his changing table is in the closet? It works! Anyway, here are some pics of the nursery. They aren't the best pics in the world, but you can get an idea of what it looks like. We ended up not buying an entire bedding set for the crib because we were told not to use a bumper because the baby can get its face smooshed up against it and suffocate. The bumper was the cutest part of the whole set, so we opted out of spending $180 on a set that we wouldn't use half of the stuff and just put together our own bedding set with the sheet and a bed skirt and blanket. I think it turned out cute enough and we saved money which is always a plus! Anyway, I'll stop blabbing now, here are the pics:
View looking in from the door
Rotating around the room - the guest bed
Rotating around still...looking out the door from the opposite corner
And still - The closet doors are mirrored
The $60 IKEA changing table/dresser from craigslist with new pad and cover to match our bedding "set" - This is inside the closet. Molly Bear is just reclaiming her room.
Closer view of the crib - The crib was $50 and we restained it and got a new "organic" mattress (William's request) and bedding (of course!)
The paintings/etchings that I did above the crib - They are a copper color
The bunny mobile
Our $20 glider rocking chair from craigslist that I recovered the cushions for
The whicker dresser (that we already had) with his bedtime books on top
