A Day at the Races

A couple of weeks ago we went to William's work picnic at the Santa Anita Race Track. The park has a dress code of sorts (however, it is not strictly enforced which was very apparent as soon as we walked up) so we thought it would be fun to dress accordingly. When we got there we got to see all of the horses parading around in a corral before the races began. We headed over to the picnic area which was really great. They had a ton of food and music and carnival games and bouncy houses and cotton candy and more. It was heaven for Arden and it was all paid for by the company, so it was quite the treat. We played around, ran around, rode ponies, played games, won prizes, watched horse races, ate, visited, jumped in the bouncy house, ran around in the inflatable ball, and much more! It was a very fun afternoon and we were glad that we were able to make it this year....last year we were in the hospital having Porter, so we missed it! As we were leaving, Arden decided to crash some break dancers' platform and do his own moves on the dance floor. There were some random guys on this random dance floor platform busting some moves and Arden just jumped right up there with them and took over the dance floor...it was too hilarious to stop and the crowd cheered him on, so we let it happen! Afterwards we stopped for dinner at California Pizza Kitchen before heading back home for bed. We got some free passes to go back sometime and hope to do so soon!

That is an awesome work party! Did you get in an inflatable ball? Probably only for the kids, but I've always wanted to try one of those. I love Arden's moves on the dance floor.
