Emmy Comes to Town

I figure I better get this posted before the month is over and since I only have 2 days left, I better do it now! Emmy came to visit us earlier this month, and we had a great time with her here! We picked her up from the airport and came back home where she gave us lots of presents! She had brought some clothes and shoes that mom had gotten for Arden -including some sweet cowboy boots -  and she brought Arden some birthday presents too. She got him a puzzle and some dinosaurs and some new pajamas and a whistle. It was very exciting going through Emmy's suitcase! The next couple of days we just hung around the house, went to the park, and watched a lot of Desperate Housewives.

The chaos of unpacking Emmy's suitcase!

 The babies and their blankets

Friday night Em and I went out for a girls' night. We got sushi for dinner, stopped by the new candy store, and went to see Bridesmaids (which was hilarious, crude, but hilarious). On Saturday we went to Long Beach to go whale watching. We had a good time riding on the boat and seeing a lot of dolphins and a couple of blue whales. It was pretty exciting for all of us and it was a great, cool day to do it. That evening we went to a birthday party for Arden's friend, Quentin, at the park. After that we went out for dinner and then hung out at home.
These next pics are all from whale wathcing. We grabbed a table to sit at inside at first so that we wouldn't be in the sun the whole time, but we also moved all around and were at the front and back of the boat outside too where we could see the dolphins and whales better.

Yes, those are heart sunglasses...we forgot his at home and were afraid he'd really need them out on the water and those were all that were available to buy! Pretty stylish, eh?

On Sunday we went to church and then came home for lunch and naps. That night Em kept Arden for us and treated William and me to a dinner date as my birthday present! It was great to be able to go out alone! Monday was Em's last day here but we just hung around the house for the day and then got some dinner and watched more Desperate Housewives that night. We dropped her back off at the airport (after sitting in quite a bit of traffic) on Tuesday morning and sent her back home to Memphis. It was a great visit and we were sad to see her go, but look forward to the next time that she can come! Thanks again for coming to see us Emmy, we're still talking about you!

Love the pics! 44 days and I'll get to see you, but I'm not even gonna PRETEND to be as exciting as Emmy. I'm working on my list of who I'm looking forward to seeing (kinda like "Missy's dog," you know). So far I have Arden/Lora in a tie for first, then William, New Baby, Molly, and Arden's new bed/comforter. I'll let you know the rest! :)
