Well, at least I'm getting this posted before Christmas, right? We've been really busy lately. I've been working on designing a wedding album for some people, which has taken up all of my computer time, so that's why I've been absent. However, I've got a long list of posts coming your way very soon, so get ready!
Now...on to Thanksgiving and how we celebrated! We were very sad that we missed Thanksgiving with the whole fam in Memphis, but we started the morning skyping with them so that we could feel included. After that, I made sweet potato casserole and dressing while Arden and William played around the house. Arden took an early nap and then we headed for the desert. We had planned to celebrate Thanksgiving with our friends from the desert (and one of William's co-workers), the Shemenskis (Matthew and Meagan). They have two little girls (Kennedy (2) and Madison (4)) and live in Rosamond, which is past Lancaster, where we lived for a couple of weeks. We got there around 2pm and were ready to get the party started! Molly Bear was even allowed to come and had a great time exploring their HUGE yard. We visited for a little while before sitting down to eat. Then we had a glorious meal (food, glorious food) of sweet potato casserole, dressing, mashed potatoes (with turkey gravy, mind you..ah!), green bean casserole, fruit salad, rolls, and sparkling cider or wine. It was all so good and we had a great time visiting and catching up while we ate. After the meal, all the kids went off to play - they entertained each other ALL day, which was so nice. We hung around the kitchen and did a few dishes and just talked some more. We had dessert a little while later and then sat around feeling fat and happy. The kids all took a bath together later on, which was just the most fun and cutest thing ever. After hanging out a little longer and staying way past Arden's bedtime, the festivities had to come to an end, so we loaded up the car and headed home. It was really cold in the desert which made for great holiday weather! We had such a good time and are so blessed to have made such great friends! Thanks again Shemenskis for having us!

The kids enjoyed a little dress up as you'll see in these pics...Arden was the classic cowboy

Yeehaw, it's Thanksgivin'!

See ya, folks!

All the kids and dogs having a blast

Sierra was very tolerant and loved!
