As I mentioned before, we officially have a walker. Does that make him a toddler now? Who knows. All I know is that I LOVE that Arden can walk. It makes my life easier and I can tell that he really enjoys his new skill as well. He had been trying for so long, walking while holding our hands or pushing something, and I knew that he could do it, he just needed the confidence to get going. He took his first steps by himself on July 3rd, just walking in between me and William. Then he took a couple of steps from the coffee table toward William on July 13th. But he just took off and never looked back on July 18th. We were at church that night for the VBS kick-off. I was a teacher so I was in the sanctuary with my kids and William was in the back foyer with Arden. He had just been standing by himself when he saw his friend, Jared, walking around and decided he wanted to do that too. He just took off and walked all over the place. William came and told me that he was doing it, so after the program was over, Arden showed me his new skill all around the sanctuary. What a fun night! The VBS photographer was able to get a few shots of the first few steps:
